Whether you are looking for individual or couple counseling, with AWAKE you've found your home for mindfulness-based, wisdom-tradition inspired, present-moment therapy. Schedule a session in-person in Evergreen or Denver, Colorado or via live video chat. Jennifer B. Pearson, LPC is AWAKE Therapy's Practice Supervisor. She leverages her 20+ years of field experience to support, inspire and further develop our staff of licensed therapists. Ms. Pearson's work as a counselor focuses on the present moment. She believes that we need to look into the past but not re-traumatize ourselves by re-living those memories. With present focused positive psychology, we take control of what is causing suffering today and learn how to retrain our mind to make better choices in the future. Jen values the connection between herself and her client as the primary trusting tool as we work toward awareness and safety. This therapeutic alliance is the key to creating the life you want!
Erik Vienneau, Registered Psychotherapist, MA, RYT-200, is the Founder of AWAKE Mindful Living. He offers individual and couples psychotherapy sessions. Erik has more than 20 years of mindful living practice and is a graduate of Naropa University's unique and highly sought-after Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling Program. Erik is dedicated to meeting you where you are along the path of wellness to offer you guidance and support to create a more peaceful and health filled life.
Erik’s passion for Buddhist Studies, meditation, yoga and a healthy lifestyle helps him to re-discover his own peaceful nature each day and fuels his ability to share counseling and meditation practices with others. The driving force behind Erik’s life is to show others they are pure potential and not the self-limiting thoughts that our minds often generate.
Caitlin Lowe-Hoover, MA, LPC-C, offers individual psychotherapy sessions. Caitlin is a graduate of Naropa University's one-of-a-kind Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy Program. She is passionate about collaborating with you to create a relationship built on safety, trust, and personal empowerment. Caitlin specializes in helping children, adolescents, teens, and adults (including Queer/ LGBTQIA+/ Nonbinary folks) navigate stressful life transitions, heal from past or current trauma, and manage anxiety when life feels overwhelming. She believes in getting to know you on a personal level to explore what supports you in growing more fully into who you want to be in the world. Holding therapy sessions outdoors, when possible, or bringing elements of the wilderness inside, is something Caitlin loves to explore with you. The natural elements of Colorado’s wilderness provides support in taking a step back from stressful situations and challenging relationships. Taking mindful walks on hiking trails, learning about the surrounding wildlife, and even playing in the garden can help you take time to focus on your needs in the present moment and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Caitlin collaborates with you to explore what therapeutic environment, whether inside her office or outdoors, feels most supportive. Accommodations based on your preference, physical ability, and comfort with outdoor experiences are always taken into consideration. Together, we will discover what helps you feel grounded, connected, and balanced when life is challenging.
