Experience the true YOU at AWAKE- a one-day mindful living retreat led by your favorite guides in your own back yard. YOU are NOT the roles you play, the things you own or the emotions you have. YOU are limitless, pure, peaceful and powerful potential just waiting to be discovered. Spend the day in a retreat environment with your favorite guides experiencing the true YOU. Practices may include mindful meditation, gentle asana, dharma talks, qi gong/ti chi, music, chant, yoga nidra and more.

Meg Hennessy is a 500 RYT, sound healer, and Reiki Master. Her popular Vinyasa and Vibrations class will be featured at the upcoming Awake retreat. In this class, she combines a gentle vinyasa with the power of Tibetan and Gemstone singing bowls. This class is powerful as the movement combined with sound healing creates the ultimate environment for deep inner healing. Expect to feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and aligned after this class. She will also be leading Reiki Restorative Yoga, a class designed to lead you on a journey through the chakras so that you can release what no longer serves in order to welcome in new energies such as abundance, bliss, peace, and love.

Erik is dedicated to meeting people where they are along the path of wellness to offer opportunities to discover a peaceful and health-filled life. Erik’s passion for mindfulness meditation, yoga and a healthy lifestyle prompted him to create Yoga Rocks the Park, Friday Night Yoga Club and most recently the AWAKE Mindful Living Community.
You'll often find Erik guiding retreats to share the mindful life with others. He also offers individual and couple therapy sessions and loves spending quality time with friends and family. He's a Naropa University-trained psychotherapist, a mindful living guide and meditation instructor who continues to study under top instructors in both the Buddhist and Yogic traditions. He also regularly participates in long-term, silent meditation retreats to do his own work in order to share the sacred teachings of awakening. The driving force behind Erik’s life is to show others they are pure potential and not the self-limited thoughts that our minds often generate. He's quick to share his life mantra "Peaceful Minds Create a Peaceful Planet" with all. |

AWAKE is chance to slow down and spend a day in a retreat environment mindfully uncovering the true YOU. We are sure you will leave feeling embodied, radiant, peaceful, at ease and ready to connect more deeply with your life and the relationships within it.
How Mindfulness works…
Mindfulness is present moment awareness. Without a mindfulness practice you most likely spend your days planning for the future or worrying about the past. You may be busy trying to get happy by working hard to change external, worldly things like your roles, job, income, material items and relationships. You may have noticed that looking for lasting peace in impermanent people, places and things simply doesn't work. Mindfulness practice helps you to directly experience that you already are happy, peaceful and at ease. You see it's an inside job. No need to try and get happy once you discover - at your core - you area already 100% complete, peaceful and at ease.
What your experience looks like...
At AWAKE you spend the day coming back again and again to presence. This is where you’ll discover everything you’ve always wanted is already within. You will see directly that you already are complete. Already one with source/God/peace. Throughout your day you’ll be guided by multiple masterful guides to return to your body, breath and peaceful mind. Whether you are walking, sitting, moving through asana, chanting, eating or lying down to rest you will be guided to do so mindfully. You’ll deeply feel your sensations, you’ll tune into your mind, you’ll hear the music and see the beauty of your surroundings. You'll return to embodiment You'll reconnect mind, body and spirit. You will AWAKE to the true YOU.

Sample Schedule... (varies at each retreat)
- 9 am Welcome. Guided "settling in" meditation.
- 9:30 am Mindfulness Talk - Mindful Living explained. How to bring the practice of mindfulness into each moment of your one day experience at AWAKE and into your daily life. Outline of the day's ground rules (i.e. skillful silence/no phones/devices etc).
- 10 am Mindful Asana
- 11 am Practice Talk w/ guided practice
- Noon Lunch Break- vegetarian lunch will be provided
- 1 pm Mindful movement. i.e. Qigong/Tai Chi/Restorative Yoga
- 2 pm Guided Seated/Walking Meditation w/ Pranayama and/or call and response chanting or live music
- 3 pm Dedication of Merit to benefit all beings + sangha circle
- 4 pm Complete
